We are looking for a Network Security Engineer Lead to join our Network Security team.

As a member of the Network Security team, you'll help maintain the security posture of OneMain applications, services, and infrastructure in order to protect against security threats including intrusions, malware, system-level breaches, unauthorized access, insider attacks, and loss of proprietary information.
As Network Security Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader through active engagement, planning, proposing solutions, and executing deployments.
Work on projects interacting with multiple stakeholders with the reach-back support of a Security Program team.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of security and network engineering and will have experience integrating and tuning security infrastructure projects.
This position involves working independently on identifying security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommending changes or enhancements.
A typical assignment might include conducting a comparative analysis of a new security tool to support Zero Trust, developing a detailed design, and then guiding the implementation of the tool.
There may be assignments to report on the interoperability of tools or the 3rd order effects of changes on other tools deployed.
These security technology projects might be on-premises or in the cloud.
The selected candidates will be given access to all documentation available on both the production security suite and the enterprise network design, but independent research and/or seeking out needed information must be part of the job.
The successful candidate will likely support the team in project meetings and/or attend on their behalf.
The successful candidate will have proven experience deploying multi-site network security solutions to provide threat detection, prevention, and segmentation.
This experience will include network security deployments within AWS.
The candidate will have a solid understanding of threat detection capabilities and configurations to support Layer 3 to 7 of the OSI model.
This role is Hybrid.
You should be located within a committable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX.

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline 8
Years total of IT experience in network and security infrastructure Engineering.

Years of Security Engineering/Architect experience 4
Years of experience designing, implementing, and operating security solutions in Amazon Web Services 4
years of experience creating security and network security design documentation Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is Must Experience with 3rd party firewall deployment in AWS/cloud using IAC.
Solid command on routing & switching, firewall, and IDS/IPS technologies to architect /design solutions with new tools to mitigate modern security risks Solid understanding of network engineering, Cloud networking which will help to identify gaps and remove any blockers.
Solid experience with troubleshooting issues on complex networks and identifying root causes.
Manage security information - including logging, auditing, and reporting capabilities Experience with load balancers, web application firewalls, and Proxy is desirable.
Solid experience with Linux and Windows OS.
Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to be a self-starter and work with limited direction.
Excellent communications skills and ability to navigate and support multiple stakeholders and build coalitions.
