Operating Room (OR) Assistant - PRN
POSITION PURPOSEThe Operating Room Assistant performs direct and indirect patient care in the Peri-operative setting.
Assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Cleans surgical suites and facilitates turnovers according to AORN standards.
Provides assistance in all areas of Surgical Services as needed.
EXPERIENCE Nursing assistant training a plus.
Good communication skills.
Able to complete tasks without constant supervision.
Good decision making skills.
Mature, dignified attitude to customers.
Able to work under stress.
Able to ascertain when additional help is required.
Must be dependable in attendance.
Must be able to relate to patients, staff, physicians and visitors.
Motivated, reliable, conscientious team worker.
Ability to be flexible, to self-schedule, self-motivate, and coordinate multiple tasks.
Six months of previous hospital experience required.
